Saying our goodbyes
The best reading spot
I am very thankful to have had this amazing experience at Rahane and with all the people I was fortunate to meet. I entered the farm with an interest for sustainable living and permaculture, and I left with a passion. Aera and Dan showed us not only is living in harmony with nature is a realistic goal, they showed us what it takes. Sustainable use of resources is possible!
The knowledge and skills I learned here were my biggest take-away. I am motivated to have an impact in the field of agriculture. I seek to spread knowledge and implement some of my own ideas into the realm of permaculture and sustainable design.
I am thrilled to report on the movement away from traditional agriculture. It is real and it is happening! Traditional farms are moving away from tilling, more and more people are demanding organic products, and people are becoming more conscious of their impacts on our planet. I want to be a part of this movement! It is a lot bigger than simply growing food. This movement encompasses a way of life. A way of living with nature. A way of incorporating natural systems into society instead of trying to control those systems. The future is bright!
Thank you for reading along with me on this journey 🙂
I leave you with a few memorable photos…
